Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required.
• Experience with system safety analyses and design reviews.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-882E or equivalent system safety standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mentor team members to plan and execute specialty engineering tasks across domains.
• Lead specialty engineering analyses in collaboration with design engineering during weapon system development.
• Lead Safety Programs from planning through safety acceptance with Safety Review Boards.
• Serve as lead Specialty Engineer in design reviews, failure investigations, and customer meetings.
• Help with bidding and proposal work in collaboration with Specialty Engineering Manager.
• Coordinate with Systems Design Engineering to define, track, and verify requirements.
• Work with Test Engineering and EH&S to define safe testing and manufacturing procedures.
