Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to join the Specialty Engineering team in Plymouth, MN. You will lead across multiple domains including safety, reliability, cybersecurity, and logistics support for munition programs.

Responsibilities include planning, analyses (FMECA/FTA/SHA), leading safety programs, and supporting proposals. Strong communication and DoD clearance readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM with related experience as specified.
• Subject matter expertise in one or more specialty engineering domains.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan and mentor teammates to execute Specialty Engineering tasks across domains.
• Analyze safety, reliability, and cost modeling aspects in weapon system development.
• Lead safety programs through planning and acceptance with Safety Review Boards.
• Participate in design reviews, failure investigations, and customer meetings.
• Support bidding and proposals with the Specialty Engineering Manager.
• Collaborate with Systems Design Engineering to verify requirements.
• Coordinate with Test Eng. and EH&S to ensure safe test events.
