Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in San Diego, CA is seeking a Systems Engineer at Principal or Senior Principal level to join our team. Qualifications

• Bachelors in STEM with 5+ years of relevant MIL/professional experience, OR a Masters with 3 years, OR a PhD with 1 year or more.
• Senior Principal: Bachelors with 8+ years, OR Masters with 6+ years, OR PhD with 4+ years.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance (with background investigation within last 6 years or Continuous Evaluation) and SAP clearance eligibility.
• Active Secret clearance or higher preferred; DOORS experience; strong technical writing and briefing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability analyses for total systems.
• Analyze across all life-cycle stages: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, disposal.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware/software specs within schedule and cost constraints.
• Communicate findings and brief stakeholders on technical presentations and verification results.
