RTX is seeking a Sr Principal Systems Engineer – Mission Management for the Aurora, CO campus. The role emphasizes MBSE, requirements breakdown, architecture and design elaboration, and strong customer-facing technical leadership. Onsite position supporting mission management capabilities within a premier program.

You will lead MBSE, interface definition, model-based analyses, and Agile integration with software teams. DoD TS clearance required; relocation may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Tech, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in systems engineering lifecycle with ConOps, requirements, analysis, interfaces, verification and validation.
• Active and transferable DoD TS security clearance required prior to start date, ability to obtain Special Program Access.
• Experience supporting government contracts in systems engineering or systems integration and test.
• Experience developing modern architectures with DevSecOps and secure cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical analyses and define how the system works using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Decompose requirements, define system interfaces, and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team.
• Provide capability and feature designs to the software engineering team in support of Agile development.
• Provide engineering support for execution of a portion of the program’s test program, including test processes and baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation.
• Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline.
• Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchange meetings in support of the program.
