Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Security / Cyber Engineer to join the HBMAS SSE team in Aurora, CO. The role focuses on implementing robust security architectures and RMF-based controls to protect DoD/IC-grade systems, with travel up to CONUS/OCONUS.

A TS/SCI clearance is required and DoD A&A processes will be used. The candidate will work with AT, cryptography, SCRM, and cross-domain considerations to ensure secure product protection across programs.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree or higher and 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required prior to start date.
• DoDM 8140.03 compliant certification (Security+, CISSP or equivalent).
• Experience with RMF, ATO processes and NIST SP 800-37/53.

Responsibilities

• Implement security improvements by assessing current infrastructure and designing secure architectures.
• Develop RMF documents and validate ATOs and controls.
• Analyze cybersecurity data to identify vulnerabilities and track performance.
• Conduct audits to verify tool deployment and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with software and systems teams to harden the system.
