Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows, IL seeks a Sr. Principal Integration & Test Engineer to lead complex electronics system integration and testing from design through aircraft installation.

The role requires design verification, environmental stress testing, EMI qualification, and strong cross-functional collaboration. A Secret clearance is required, and on-site work at Rolling Meadows is expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical degree with 8+ years of related experience or MS degree with 6+ years related experience, or PhD with 4+ years related experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a collaborative environment and with multiple stakeholders across various disciplines under cost and schedule constraints
• Experience performing Design Verification Tests, Environmental Qualification Testing, and EMI Qualification Testing
• Working knowledge of DOORS and Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRMs)
• Experience in documenting, testing, and troubleshooting integrated hardware/software/firmware for production systems
• Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations
• Ability and willingness to work independently with little oversight or direction
• Must be a US Citizen
• Clearance: Secret required before start

Responsibilities

• Lead integration test programs and evaluate complex electronics systems from hardware/software design through aircraft installation to ensure systems work well
• Generate test plans, test procedures, test automation, test reports and execute integration tests in SILs or offsite locations
• Work within the SEIT team to apply systems engineering processes across a product lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security and customer requirements
