Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer in a remote-capable role based in the United States. You will shape the technical vision for core platforms, mentor distributed teams, and drive modernization across endpoints, identity, and security.

The ideal candidate has 11+ years of architecting scalable distributed systems, deep Azure expertise, and experience with AWS. Occasional travel to the St. Louis campus may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, MIS or related field preferred.
• 11+ years of software, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Deep expertise across Microsoft Azure (identity, endpoint, security, MFA, SSO, Entra ID).
• Experience designing high-throughput endpoint systems and real-time services.
• Experience with AWS platforms and observability tools (e.g., Splunk).
• Strong operational understanding of networking principles.
• Consulting background within a Big Four or similar advisory environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy and architectural decisions for core business and workforce technology platforms.
• Design and implement scalable solutions spanning cloud, identity, security, productivity, and endpoint technologies.
• Own the holistic technical vision, creating reusable architecture patterns and engineering standards.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to develop roadmaps, ensure operational health, and deliver technology excellence.
• Present complex technical topics and business cases to stakeholders up to executive level.
• Mentor and grow senior technical talent across virtual and distributed engineering teams.
• Ensure security, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across all solutions.
• Incorporate security practices into all decisions and daily engineering responsibilities.
