Job summary

RTX is hiring a Sr. Principal System Administrators Lead to support classified programs in a 24x7 Windows and Red Hat Linux environment.

You will collaborate with cybersecurity, engineering, and program teams to define computing requirements and deliver end-to-end IT infrastructure solutions. This onsite role requires DoD security clearance eligibility, leadership experience, and the ability to obtain certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant IT experience (8+ years)
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance required prior to start date
• Experience with Linux and Windows environments
• Experience leading or mentoring teams

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
• Demonstrate advanced Red Hat Enterprise Linux knowledge.
• Troubleshoot complex IT infrastructure across multiple programs.
• Support data RAID, encryption, and backup technologies.
• Install and configure applications per end-user requests.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity to meet security requirements and document procedures.
• Ability to obtain DoDD 8140/8570 certification within 6 months of start date.
• Operate in 24x7 environments and travel up to 5% as needed.
