Job summary

Lilly, headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, seeks a Senior Principal SRE Engineering Lead to own reliability across a multi-application production estate. You will define SLOs, govern error budgets, and drive durable changes while partnering with automation teams and regulated environments.

You will mentor engineers, set standards for observability, IaC, and deployment safety, and lead high-severity incidents as incident commander in a highly regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years on-site reliability or production engineering in multi-application estates.
• Hands-on runbooks, incident response, and SRE tooling experience.
• Experience with observability, IaC, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern SLOs for multiple applications.
• Lead incident response and postmortems with blameless culture.
• Drive durable production changes from incidents and RCAs.
• Partner with automation teams to enable safe, agent-assisted remediation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in validated environments.
