Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a seasoned engineering leader to guide an Agile software team in Aurora, CO, delivering secure, scalable cloud-enabled applications for the HBMA Sustainment and Development program. Role requires active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship.

The position emphasizes strong Scrum facilitation, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration with product management, QA, security, and operations to ensure high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 8 years.
• Active and transferable TS/SCI - Current clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a software engineering team in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications.
• Architect scalable solutions and ensure alignment with modern engineering best practices.
• Drive code quality through reviews, automated testing, CI, and secure development workflows.
• Implement, monitor, and enforce security standards across the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product management, QA, security, and operations to deliver reliable software.
• Mentor engineers and foster continuous improvement.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
