Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ, is seeking an experienced software engineer to lead the development of test equipment software. The role requires strong programming in C++, C#, Java, and Python, plus extensive Windows/Visual Studio experience and DoD clearance.

You will direct cross-functional teams, manage schedules, and coordinate with Program Management on requirements and status. This is an onsite role in Tucson with heavy emphasis on lab integration, debugging, and aligned with DoD security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 10+ years in software development or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Proficiency in C++, C#, Java, Python or Visual Basic and debugging in Windows.
• Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps Server, and lab/test instrumentation.
• DoD-related software development and program management experience.

Responsibilities

• Guide multidisciplined teams in developing test equipment software.
• Prioritize tasks in a production environment and manage schedules.
• Contribute to cost and schedule management planning.
• Communicate project status with senior management.
• Troubleshoot software and test equipment and develop software requirements.
• Collaborate with Program Management on written and interpersonal communications.
