Job summary
Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is hiring a Software Quality Engineer to join the Naval Power SBU. You will work with cross-functional teams to verify and validate design, development, and integration of Raytheon’s digital products. Digital products include embedded code, simulations, firmware, and other artifacts as required by contract.
This onsite role requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of software development experience, and you must be able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM and 2+ years applying technical concepts in the software development process.
- Experience with software/firmware development, quality assessments, and Agile/DevOps practices.
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
Responsibilities
- Program Execution Support – participate in all phases of systems/digital products design and development.
- Review and approve inputs/outputs to Software, Systems, System Integration and Test and other work products.
- Monitor and measure key software attributes and ensure product quality throughout development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and root cause analysis.
- Provide guidance to project staff and senior staff on software quality concepts and practices.
