Boehringer Ingelheim seeks a Senior Principal or Principal Scientist to lead the in vitro antibody discovery team in Ridgefield, CT. You will define strategies for phage and yeast display campaigns and drive discovery workflows that integrate automation, NGS, and AI/ML tools to enhance hit quality and accelerate timelines.

The role combines scientific leadership with platform stewardship, mentoring staff, and ensuring external visibility through publications and collaborations.

Competenze

• PhD with 7+ years industry experience in antibody discovery or related field.
• Experience leading employees, projects and leaders is required for senior level.

Mansioni

• Lead a scientific team responsible for generating novel antibodies using in vitro discovery platforms (phage/yeast display) and AI-guided library evolution.
• Designs and constructs high diversity antibody display libraries for lead identification and maturation.
• Develops innovative in vitro discovery strategies, including panning, high-throughput screening and NGS-guided hit prioritization, with AI-accelerated workflows.
• Keeps the team at the forefront of emerging technologies and makes recommendations to advance capabilities.
