Mimecast Limited in Chicago seeks a Senior Principal Sales Engineer for the North Central region to drive pre-sales across direct and partner opportunities, deliver demonstrations, and address complex customer needs.

The role requires deep security and messaging tech, SaaS know-how, and ability to work with sales teams, product management, and partners; travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive technical pre-sales experience in security or messaging software.
• Experience consultatively selling complex services to enterprise accounts.
• Strong knowledge of networking and security technologies.
• Hands-on experience with email security, archiving platforms, and migrations (Exchange/Microsoft 365).
• Understanding of governance, compliance, data retention, and e-discovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical pre-sales support across direct and reseller opportunities.
• Explain Mimecast services to stakeholders and address objections.
• Deliver product demonstrations to technical and business audiences, incl. execs.
• Prepare formal RFP responses and high-level implementation plans.
• Collaborate with sales teams through the opportunity lifecycle.
