Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced RFIC design engineer to lead design and development of RF LNA and switches for cellular applications. The role collaborates with layout and test teams to optimize RF chains and deliver die-ready modules for customers.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in RFIC/LNA design, strong HFSS, Cadence and ADS skills, and a solid background in RF measurements and device physics. This on-site Florida position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• MSEE or PhD in an RF related field.
• More than 10 years of experience in LNA and/or other RFIC designs.
• Extensive experience designing with HFSS, Cadence, and ADS.
• Strong background with RF measurements and characterization.
• Experience in standard RF design techniques and best practices.
• Working knowledge of device physics for IC design, tradeoffs for LNA and switch.
• Strong background in various linear and nonlinear simulation techniques and simulators.

Responsibilities

• The design and development of RF LNA and switches for cellular applications, potentially using SOI and BiCMOS technologies
• Support standalone LNA and switch modules and theirintegration into a multi-chip module (MCM)
• Working with the internal module customers with die deliverables and optimizing the RF chain
• Working with layout designers to use best practices for layout
• Designing and using analog blocks like Bandgap, LDO, Bias circuits etc from time to time
• Creating test laminates to measurethe taped out hardware and working with Lab technicians to troubleshoot measurements issues and perform sim vs meas correlation
• Conducting peer reviews of their designs, including expected and/or actual results
• Writing regular program updates and communicate progress and issues in a clear and consise manner.
• Be able to execute to an aggressive schedule
