Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Principal Design Engineer - RF Modules for a full-time role at our Apopka, FL Design Center. The engineer will own RF module designs from concept through production release, supporting diverse applications including Cellular, GPS, Radar, Satellite, and more.

GaAs HBT and/or PHEMT RFIC background is preferred. The role requires expertise in RF/microwave module design, EM simulations, impedance matching, and test bench tuning.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics with RF focus, plus 2+ years RF module design experience.
• Solid RF/Microwave module design fundamentals; experience with LNAs, PAs, RF switches, filters.
• Experience with RF simulation tools (Keysight ADS, HFSS) and PCB layout.
• Strong impedance matching techniques and test bench tuning.
• Ability to create 3D circuit models and RF measurements.

Responsibilities

• Own RF module design from concept to production release.
• Perform circuit design, EM simulations, impedance matching, and variation analysis.
• Prepare technical proposals for customers and lead project milestones.
• Collaborate with project managers and document design reviews.
• Work with test engineering to characterize prototypes and optimize performance.
