Job summary

RTX’s Effector RF Design Department seeks a Senior Principal RF Mechanical Engineer to serve as Section Lead for RF Mechanical. 85% engineering program support across the full development lifecycle and 15% section leadership, coaching, and staff development.

100% onsite in Tucson, AZ, with a requirement for an active security clearance and US citizenship. The role includes technical leadership on RF hardware, collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, and oversight of supplier performance to

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in RF packaging, 3D CAD, or GD&T, and/or leading a team.
• Eligible for US security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a section of 10-20 RF Electronics engineers.
• Provide technical leadership across RF hardware development.
• Oversee design, integration, and qualification of RF hardware.
• Collaborate with Systems, Structural and Thermal, Manufacturing, Test, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
• Support staffing, performance reviews, and recruitment.
