Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer in McKinney, TX to lead mechanical design of RF systems for advanced programs. You will develop and document components, manage GD&T-driven drawings, and mentor junior staff while ensuring cost, schedule, and performance goals.

The role requires U.S. Citizenship, an active security clearance, and travel up to 25%. Onsite work with potential relocation benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 10+ years designing and manufacturing electronics packaging for military/aerospace.
• Strong GD&T knowledge, ANSI drawing standards, and first-order analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design tightly toleranced RF components and assemblies.
• Create, refine, and release detailed drawings for manufacturing.
• Lead design trade studies and supervise mechanical layout and documentation.
