Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Principal or Sr Principal Electronics Engineer to support installation, testing, and operation of a phase array sensor system on a platform, with travel to Palmdale, CA (25-30%).

You will apply rigorous testing, provide technical guidance to a multi-disciplinary MS team, and interact with customers while maintaining high standards of system performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM; 5+ years for Principal, 8+ for Sr Principal.
• Experience with airborne AESA radar or RF systems is a plus.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance with installation and test support of a phase array sensor system.
• Lead post-installation and shop floor system testing with other platforms.
• Collect, evaluate and report test results; troubleshoot HW/SW issues.
• Recommend corrective actions and improve safety/efficiency of equipment.
• Support field operations and travel to customer sites as needed.
