Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Mission Systems Engineer to lead SLC management across RADAR programs. The role requires active TS clearance and coordination with multiple engineering teams on‑site.

Responsibilities include planning tests from design to launch, coordinating with MSEIT and Speargun teams, and ensuring successful end‑to‑end validation in space environments. This position may be staffed at Principal or Sr. Principal level based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance and SCI eligibility required.
• BS in STEM with 5 years relevant experience or 3 years with MS.
• Sr Principal: BS in STEM with 8 years relevant experience or 6 years with MS.
• Hardware/Software I&T Experience.
• Experience implementing and maintaining processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with PL AI&T, SV AI&T, and Ops teams for SLCs across life cycles.
• Support MSEIT System I&T team in planning and execution of space‑to‑ground tests.
• Plan and execute End‑to‑End Testing (On‑Orbit, Ground, Vehicle).
• Coordinate vehicle sim asset production, set‑up, and execution.
• Collaborate with Mission Partners for testing and baseline availability.
• Track validation testing from ground/payload sell‑off through launch.
