Amtrak is seeking a Director-level Project Manager in the Philadelphia area to lead cross-functional programs, develop and control budgets and schedules, and report progress to senior leadership. The role includes managing multiple direct reports or matrixed teammates and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
• 11 years of prior relevant project management experience.
• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements project plans, schedules and budgets.
• Manages and monitors project cost and schedules, reports progress.
• Ensures progress by measuring variance from baselines and addresses deviations.
• Identifies changes and supports change control decisions.
• Provides data to support annual planning and reports to senior staff.
• Establishes PM artifacts per Amtrak standards and regulations.
