Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Project Manager to lead complex programs onsite at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL or Sunnyvale, CA. The role manages project execution, budgets, schedules and liaison with customers and internal teams.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s with substantial PM experience (or Master/PhD with fewer years), strong communication, MS Office skills, US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of project/program management experience or closely related OR Master’s with 6 years relevant experience OR PhD with 4 years relevant experience.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and comfortable speaking in a group environment with the customer.
• Proficient in Microsoft office software.
• US citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects.
• Serve as a liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Coordinate with Global Supply Chain for procurement of spares and related materials.
