Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Principal Network Engineer to integrate complex architectures using Cisco SD-WAN, Aruba Edge-Connect, and Juniper SD-WAN technologies. The role is remote in Dallas, TX, with up to 25% travel, requiring U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities include configuring and migrating Navy systems into SD-WAN, ensuring security and accreditation compliance, and automating deployments with Python/Ansible. Bachelor’s and 14+ years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, or related field; 14+ years of related experience or equivalent
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise WAN routing environments
• Expert-level hardware configuration for Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba SD-WAN solutions

Responsibilities

• Engineer scalable network integration solutions including IPSEC/VPN, WAN, SD-WAN, Black Core and hybrid-cloud topologies
• Lead configuration and migration of Navy Systems and Sites into the SD-WAN Fabric
• Ensure integration configurations comply with current accreditation
• Collaborate with Shore Based Engineering to implement changes for customer integration
• Use Python or Ansible to automate network deployment tasks
• Create Test Plans and Test Reports for engineering reviews and configuration boards
• Produce and maintain network architecture diagrams, manuals, and configuration artifacts
