Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Network Engineer (P4) to ensure the smooth operation of classified network infrastructure at Raytheon/RTX locations. The role is onsite in Marlborough, MA and relocation eligible under policy. Active DoD TS clearance is required on day 1.

Responsibilities include advanced LAN/WAN support, vulnerability review, network design projects, and documentation to meet security requirements. Travel and after-hours work may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years' experience.
• Knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems, including software upgrades.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret DOD security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced knowledge in support of LAN/WAN components including routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco/Palo Alto).
• Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize network system performance.
• Review system vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Drive and/or participate in projects to install or improve voice, video, and network infrastructure.
• Produce, update, and improve technical documentation to support security requirements and operations.
