RTX in Massachusetts seeks a Senior Network Architect Sr. Manager to lead enterprise network architecture for classified environments.

The role requires TOGAF/DoDAF experience, a active DoD Secret clearance, and strong leadership to guide engineering and cybersecurity teams onsite in Tewksbury, MA. You will develop governance models, create architecture artifacts, and mentor engineers while collaborating across programs and customers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience developing and governing enterprise-scale network architectures.
• Experience with routing, switching, firewalls, WAN, segmentation and encryption.
• Familiar with TOGAF, DoDAF, or Zachman frameworks.
• Active U.S. Secret DoD clearance and U.S. citizenship; must obtain TS clearance if needed.
• Within 6 months, obtain DoDD 8140/8570 certs (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of enterprise network architectures for classified programs.
• Define, document, and maintain architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures.
• Apply TOGAF/DoDAF to guide solution development and trace requirements to implementations.
• Enforce architecture governance, security, and best practices across programs.
• Develop architecture artifacts including system and operational views and standards.
• Serve as technical authority for network design decisions.
• Provide Tier 3/4 escalation support to operational network teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, systems, and program teams to translate intent into designs.
• Lead architecture reviews, design forums, and technical working groups.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
• Mentor engineers and junior architects; support proposals and captures.
• Communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support modernization and standardization of classified networks.
