Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Principal Network Engineer (P5) for classified infrastructure in Tucson, onsite. Requires active Secret clearance, university degree, and 10+ years of experience with Cisco LAN/WAN and security solutions.

Role involves leading major projects, budgets, SOPs, and introducing innovative tech across the organization; travel up to 25% may be required. U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• University degree or advanced degree with 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience as network engineer for classified, enterprise-class Cisco LAN/WAN.
• Experience with boundary protection technologies (Palo Alto preferred).
• 2+ of the following Cisco capabilities: SD-WAN, SD-Access, ACI, etc.
• Certification meeting 8570 IAT Level III or 8140 Advanced and CCNP/CCIE-level certs.
• Active and transferable U.S. Government Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Lead major network projects with thorough design reviews and proper execution.
• Respond to escalations with standard and non-standard solutions; provide direction.
• Drive budget planning, SOPs, and team practices; present status to stakeholders.
• Implement new technology innovations across the organization; ensure secure, reliable networks.
