Job summary

RTX's Digital Technology division seeks a Principal Network Engineer (P5) to act as SME, resolving complex escalations and driving network innovation across classified environments. This on-site role in McKinney, TX includes mentoring teammates, leading major projects, and coordinating with cybersecurity and operations to deliver secure, scalable networks.

You will oversee design reviews, guide modernization efforts, and communicate status to leaders.

Qualifications

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience.
Experience as network engineer for classified, enterprise‑class Cisco‑based LAN/WAN with in-depth L2/L3 experience.
Experience with boundary protection technologies (preferably Palo Alto).
Active and transferable U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

Serve as the senior technical advisor to resolve technicalEscalations and drive network innovations.
Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to identify inefficiencies and optimize performance.
