Job summary

RTX is hiring for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Missile Guidance, Navigation, & Control Engineer in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on evaluation, design, implementation, and integration of embedded software algorithms for 6-DoF simulations and flight software within an integrated product team.

The position requires a degree in engineering or related STEM field, 10+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain interim and eventual DoD Secret clearance. Onsite work in Tucson is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM degree; 10+ years of experience.
• Experience in GNC, signal processing, or modeling/simulation.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, or OO programming; eligible for interim/secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test embedded missile flight code.
• Conduct system-level performance studies and analyses.
• Lead backlog planning and metrics in an Agile framework.
• Mentor and guide engineers; train new team members.
• Support missile performance analysis, model development, and Monte Carlo assessments.
