Job summary

RTX is hiring for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Missile Guidance, Navigation, & Control in Tucson, AZ. You will design, integrate, and test embedded flight software, collaborating across an integrated product team to meet performance requirements and support new capabilities.

This onsite role requires deep GNC expertise and strong engineering leadership. You will lead backlogs, perform analyses, and guide junior engineers while working in a fast-paced agile environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree.
• Minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and/or Object-Oriented programming.
• GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling / Simulation experience.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Development, integration, and testing of embedded tactical missile flight code.
• Definition and execution of system level performance studies and analyses.
• Work within an agile framework to lead development of backlogs, plans, and metrics.
• Provide guidance to train engineers and execute efficiently.
• Support missile performance analysis including model development and Monte Carlo assessments.
