Job summary

RTX is hiring a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Missile Guidance, Navigation, & Control in Tucson, AZ to lead embedded software algorithm development and integration for 6-DoF simulations.

You will collaborate within an IPT to deliver high-assurance flight software and test capabilities fast. The role requires a engineering degree and a minimum of 10 years in GNC, signaling, or modeling/simulation, with strong MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and OO skills, plus the ability to obtain Interim Secret

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience.
• GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling / Simulation experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and/or Object-Oriented programming.

Responsibilities

• Development, integration, and testing of embedded tactical missile flight code.
• Definition and execution of system level performance studies and analyses to inform development and integration of new capabilities or obsolescence.
• Work within an agile framework to lead development of backlogs, plans, and metrics.
• Provide experience and guidance to help the program train new engineers and execute efficiently.
• Support missile performance analysis including model development, system optimization, and Monte Carlo assessments.
