Job summary
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer in Oklahoma City, OK. The role develops avionics testing solutions for defense platforms, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and delivering hardware and software specifications.
Primary and secondary salary ranges are provided; relocation is not offered. The position requires DoD SECRET clearance eligibility and on-site work in Oklahoma City, with frequent collaboration across government and industry partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mech/Aero Engineering or equivalent with required experience.
- Master’s degree with related experience or PhD with minimal experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications, listen effectively, and take initiative.
Responsibilities
- Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex integrated test systems.
- Coordinate design of subsystems and integration in a laboratory environment.
- Oversee and own engineering design and 2D/3D drawings for mechanical products.
- Develop documentation such as operating manuals and user guides.
- Support troubleshooting of built equipment and ensure schedule commitments.
- Coordinate with multiple internal/external stakeholders to meet contractual milestones.
