Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Oklahoma City seeks a Principle/Senior Principle Mechanical Engineer to join the Advanced Test and Support Systems team. You will design architectures for complex test systems and lead multi-disciplinary efforts, ensuring alignment with DoD and customer requirements.

The role requires diverse engineering expertise, CAD/FEA proficiency, and the ability to mentor teams while delivering high-quality hardware solutions for defense programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years of related experience or Master’s with 3+ years or PhD with 0+ years.
• Senior Principal requires 8+ years with Bachelor’s or 6+ with Master’s or 3+ with PhD.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD SECRET clearance; on-site in OKC.

Responsibilities

• Design and define system architecture for new or existing complex test systems.
• Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total systems in a laboratory environment.
• Oversee engineering design and 2D/3D drawings across mechanical products.
• Develop supporting documentation and assist in troubleshooting equipment.
• Coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to meet schedule commitments.
