Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to shape and execute the Product Line strategy across the Distributed Systems Organization. The role involves consulting on capital projects, MTA, and IRAD efforts to drive high-yield manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate will lead automation efforts, perform MRAs, and develop maturity plans while coordinating with cross-functional teams to reduce costs and improve yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12+ years of relevant experience (or 10+ with a Master’s).
• Experience in developing/improving manufacturing assembly or test processes for complex hardware.
• Experience with program life cycle processes and providing technical leadership across teams.
• Experience with NCTA, CRAD, or Capital project execution.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with program teams during pre-proposal and proposal phases to improve processes.
• Develop a manufacturing plan for each program phase.
• Lead design for automation efforts and cost modeling activities.
• Develop Manufacturing Maturity Plans including funding strategies.
• Provide technical oversight for sub-contractors and ensure readiness for execution.
