Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Manufacturing Engineering is seeking a Sr Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join the Operations Team in Baltimore, MD. You will shape and execute the Product Line strategy across NIC division and advise on capital projects, MTA and IRAD efforts.

The role requires a STEM degree and 8+ years in manufacturing systems engineering, with experience in AESA-related processes and the ability to lead cross-functional teams; active clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 8+ years of experience (6 with a Master).
• Experience with AESA-related processes and materials.
• Experience across program life cycle and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Engage with NIC units during proposal phases to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Develop manufacturing plan for each program phase.
• Perform Manufacturing Readiness Assessment.
• Lead design for automation efforts.
• Cost modeling and design to cost activities.
• Deploy digital transformation of MSE work products for efficient planning.
• Address producibility gaps and develop Manufacturing Maturity Plans.
