Job summary

UCSF Health in Berkeley, CA seeks a CRT Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic breast imaging with attention to quality and safety. You will work with radiologists and staff to ensure accurate data in RIS/PACS and support training of students and new hires.

The role emphasizes AIDET-based patient interactions, adherence to MQSA standards, and a commitment to performance improvement across the department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JCERT radiology technology training program.
• Willing to rotate shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Able to assist at any UCSF Medical Center location.
• Minimum 3 years of Mammography experience (senior) or 7 years (principal).
• Knowledge of RIS/PACS and hospital IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Follows UCSF values and builds rapport with patients using AIDET.
• Produces ACR quality images following departmental protocols.
• Prepares room, equipment, and contrast media for Radiologist.
• Trains students, residents, and faculty; participates in orientation.
• Performs daily MQSA‑compliant quality assurance and maintains records.
• Maintains correct clinical data in radiology systems and adheres to HIPAA.
