Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Roy, Utah seeks a Principal / Sr Principal Industrial Engineer to support production for the Command Systems Team. The role focuses on scheduling, data analysis, and shop floor optimization with a strong industrial engineering foundation.

You will create operation plans, recovery schedules, labor standards, and layout designs while coordinating with teams across sites to ensure timely production and cost control. Requires DoD clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

Experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing operations, production planning, or proposal estimating in aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing.
Strong Excel modeling, presentation, and written communication skills.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret and SAP approval.

Responsibilities

Create Shop Operation Plans for production units and track daily shop floor performance.
Create Recovery Schedules for the production floor and manage labor standards.
Design and optimize Shop Floor/Facility Layouts and support cost management.
Collaborate with multiple product teams and sites to meet scheduling requirements.
Document and monitor issues to ensure timely resolutions.
