Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Principal / Sr Principal Industrial Engineers in Utah to lead production planning, shop floor optimization, and scheduling for aerospace manufacturing. You will analyze capacity, develop standard hour content, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and supply chain interfaces.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in industrial engineering, time studies, EVMS, and experience with SAP/MES/AutoCad.

Qualifications

Experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing operations, production planning, or proposal estimating in aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing.
Experience developing bases of estimate, labor estimates, staffing plans, capacity models, or proposal inputs.
Strong Excel modeling, presentation, and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of manufacturing flow, production scheduling, capacity, and how shop floor execution interfaces with supply chain and quality.
Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret and SAP approvals

Responsibilities

Create Shop Operation Plans for production units and track daily shop floor performance.
Create Recovery Schedules for the production floor.
Develop labor standards and standard hour content for new scope.
Conduct shop floor time studies on manufacturing and test activities.
Coordinate with larger teams at different site locations.
Present technical briefings for upper management and technical leadership
