Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a lead export and sanctions attorney to join the Global Trade Legal and Compliance team within the Global Operations and Supply Chain Legal Department. You will provide global trade legal and compliance advice across regions, supporting EAR, OFAC, and sanctions programs, M&A due diligence, and cross-functional risk mitigation.

The role may reside in Minneapolis, MN, Washington, D.C., or another U.S.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from nationally recognized law school.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one state.
• 8+ years of experience with global trade legal and compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on the intersection of global trade compliance and strategic business initiatives.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes related to trade compliance and provide interpretation and implementation guidance.
• Develop, implement and update the trade compliance program to drive compliance with global export laws and other trade-related requirements.
• Partner with enterprise and regional legal teams to develop standards and mitigate risks.
• Support export compliance program activities including EAR, OFAC, and sanctions compliance.
