Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Sr. Compliance Manager, Global Trade Legal & Compliance to lead the design, execution, and ongoing improvement of the company’s global trade compliance program across multiple geographies.

The role will oversee policies, training, and controls for import/export and sanctions, advising senior leaders on material trade risks. The position can reside in Minneapolis, MN; Washington, DC; or near a Medtronic site in the U.S., reporting to the Director of Global Trade Legal &

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of global trade compliance experience in a large, complex corporate environment, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience, including substantive responsibility for import, export controls, sanctions, investigations or disclosures, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of Medtronic’s global trade compliance program across businesses and geographies.
• Oversee enterprise policies, procedures, training, and controls governing import compliance, export controls, and sanctions.
• Advise senior business and functional leaders on material trade risks and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functional identification, assessment, and mitigation of material trade compliance risks with Global Trade Operations, Supply Chain, Ethics & Compliance, regional experts, and leaders.
• Establish and monitor controls, remediation plans, and program metrics to strengthen program effectiveness, audit readiness, and sustained compliance.
• Provide strategic trade compliance advice for business development activities, including due diligence and escalation of material findings.
