Job summary

AlphaSense seeks a Senior Principal Engineer to spearhead architectural strategy across Web, Mobile, and Headless surfaces. You will bridge frontend architecture with scalable, API-first platforms and collaborate with Product leadership to accelerate product velocity.

You will mentor senior engineers, shape multi-team roadmaps, and drive the transformation toward a platform-driven architecture while embracing emerging standards like MCP to enable next‑gen agentic workflows.

Qualifications

• 15+ years as a senior/principal software engineer
• Deep frontend architecture expertise across large systems
• Experience leading tech transformations in 80+ engineer organizations
• Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL in distributed environments
• Proven ability to align engineering with product strategy and customer needs

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical strategy for the Applications Portfolio
• Set frontend architecture standards for Web, Mobile, and Headless surfaces
• Mentor senior engineers and foster technical excellence
• Collaborate with Product to align roadmaps with customer needs
• Transform architecture from feature factories to platform-driven systems
• Lead adoption of MCP and evolve UI components with Design Systems
