Job summary

Fluxx is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead architecture on a cross-cutting grantmaking platform. This is a hands-on, full-time remote role for candidates located in the United States.

You will drive major initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with senior leaders to raise the technical bar across the engineering team. Expect to shape platform direction while delivering high-quality code and thoughtful design.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading architecture on a complex SaaS platform.
• Ability to work across backend and frontend with credible influence.
• Strong communication with product, design, QA, and infra teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of major platform initiatives.
• Make architectural decisions considering trade-offs and multiple approaches.
• Provide technical leadership across scoping, design, implementation, and rollout.
• Design and implement user-facing and backend features across the platform.
• Produce high-quality, well-tested code and participate in peer reviews.
• Mentor engineers and raise the team's architectural literacy.
• Champion AI and agent use in the SDLC.
