Job summary

Clearwater Paper Corporation seeks a senior technical leader in coated board production to drive asset reliability and performance improvements. The role partners with plant teams to deploy predictive maintenance, process enhancements, and standard practices across sites.

You will lead cross-site improvements, mentor teams, and guide major maintenance events while aligning with safety and quality systems. A BS in engineering is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in paper mill operations.
• 7+ years of experience managing operating and/or capital budgets.
• Thorough understanding of paper machine operations.
• Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., JD Edwards).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior subject matter expert for papermaking across all sites.
• Lead development, deployment, and cross-site sharing of operating standards and best practices.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for complex troubleshooting, major shutdown planning, execution, and post-event reviews.
• Provide technical direction and coordinate internal and external resources for complex challenges.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and implement improvements to enhance productivity and asset performance.
