Job summary

Clearwater Paper Corporation, a premier independent supplier of paperboard packaging, seeks a Project Engineer to lead mechanical and electrical issues in capital projects across multiple plant systems. You will drive project delivery from design through startup, coordinating with contractors and vendors while ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include developing budgets and schedules, reviewing drawings, and supporting reliability improvements.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in project engineering and engineering design.
Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex industrial systems and equipment.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks; familiarity with JDEdwards or similar ERP systems.
Working knowledge of ASME, API, NBIC, and NEC standards.

Responsibilities

Lead capital and major repair projects with cost estimates, schedules, budgets, and capex documentation.
Prepare bid packages, evaluate proposals, administer contracts, and coordinate vendors.
Coordinate installations balancing operations, schedules, technical requirements, and safety.
Maintain project records, drawings, and equipment documentation; manage scope and progress.
Lead pre-startup safety reviews, implementation, startup activities, and closeout.
