Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to lead the Enterprise Digital Technology Innovation Lab as the technical authority for rapid prototyping and pilot deployments. You will drive architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate across cybersecurity, data, and business teams to accelerate innovation initiatives.

You will translate business problems into working prototypes and production-ready solutions, setting engineering standards and governance while shaping the lab's long-term

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience with hands-on delivery.
• 8+ years in senior technical leadership roles.
• 7+ years of full-stack engineering across frontend/backend/cloud/API/Databases.
• 5+ years architecting scalable, cloud-native enterprise systems.
• 3+ years in AI, ML, or generative AI with hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architecture direction for Innovation Lab initiatives.
• Design, build, review full-stack AI-enabled applications.
• Prototype concepts and validate ideas with business stakeholders.
• Set engineering standards and governance for the lab.
• Partner with ED&T, cybersecurity, data, and business teams to accelerate innovation.
• Mentor engineers and grow the lab's long-term capabilities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for enterprise use.
