Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Melbourne, FL seeks a Sr Principal Engineer Embedded Software to lead development and troubleshooting of system software for combat EW hardware. You will diagnose hardware issues, automate tasks, and create SUT/scenario files while supporting customers.

Applicants should have a STEM degree with substantial CEESIM and software/firmware experience, plus willingness to travel and work flexible shifts to support field operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in a STEM discipline with relevant work experience.
Experience in operation and maintenance of CEESIM.
Experience developing software/firmware and computing systems.
Knowledge of software engineering standards and SDLC.
Willingness to travel and work flexible shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

Interact with customers and coordinate engineering efforts to solve issues.
Provide engineering support for system-level problems on delivered hardware.
Maintain EW stimulators and troubleshoot hardware faults.
Use STE and test equipment to diagnose hardware failures.
Coordinate return of failed hardware for repair and support customer missions.
Generate weekly status reports on test events and anomalies.
