Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL seeks a Principal or Sr. Principal Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and test embedded and real-time software for complex mission systems. You’ll work with Systems Engineering and DevSecOps in an Agile environment on multiple baselines.

Qualifications include STEM degrees with 5+ years (or 8+ for Sr. Principal), C/C++ and/or Python, and experience with CI/CD tools, modeling, and RTOS platforms. A U.S. Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with experience in software engineering.
• Experience in Agile frameworks within the last 3 years.
• Proficiency in C, OO C++, and/or Python for safety/mission-critical applications.
• Experience with software change control and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with modeling tools (Rhapsody/Cameo) and RTOS environments.
• Active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop embedded mission systems software on a real-time operating system.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle from requirements to delivery.
• Work with Agile Scrum teams to develop software for multiple baselines.
• Analyze system capabilities and resolve issues across teams.
