Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Software Engineer - Development to join our team on site in San Diego, California or Grand Forks, North Dakota with a partial hybrid schedule.

The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, delivering software across the full SDLC, and collaborating in Agile Scrum teams for real-time embedded systems used in flight and mission-critical applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with substantial related engineering experience or higher degrees with fewer years of experience.
Experience across full SDLC for software development projects.
Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
Experience with real-time, flight-critical, safety-critical, or mission-critical software.
Familiar with multiple development tools and Agile SW development processes.

Responsibilities

Develop software in an embedded, real-time OS environment for flight and mission-critical systems.
Participate in full SW development lifecycle from requirements to delivery.
Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams across multiple baselines.
Contribute to software architecture, design, and debugging of C++ software.
