Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Electronics Engineer to join the AMS Engineering & Sciences team. This full-time onsite role requires a Secret clearance and offers a 9/80 schedule with travel up to 10%.

You will work on hardware/software test solutions, RF/digital/power concepts, and integration of complex electronic systems. The role emphasizes design-to-cost, requirements definition, and hands-on troubleshooting across hardware and software, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with 5 yrs related exp, OR Master's with 3 yrs, OR PhD with 0 yrs; 4 years may substitute.
• An additional 4 years' experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• A mix of hardware and software skills
• C/C++ programming experience
• Knowledge of RF, digital or power theory concepts
• Experience with test & measurement equipment
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics and block diagrams
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance (Interim Secret required pre-start)

Responsibilities

• Understand design to cost, scope, and schedule
• Define requirements
• Design flexible hardware & software test solutions with a team
• Support manufacturing during hardware build
• Integrate hardware & software into a functioning system
• Obtain certification with Quality organization
• Deploy systems and provide factory support
• Maintain software or refresh hardware as needed
