Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Electronics Engineer based in Baltimore (Linthicum), MD, onsite with a 9/80 schedule. You will lead hardware and software test solutions, integrate systems, and collaborate with radar SMEs and design teams to deliver mission-critical electronics.

The role requires a strong mix of hardware/software skills, RF/digital/power theory background, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 5+ years of related experience or Master’s with 3+ years or PhD with 0 years.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics and block diagrams.
• Demonstrated mix of hardware and software skills; experience with C/C++.
• Background in RF, digital and power theory; experience with test & measurement equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Understand design to cost, scope, and schedule.
• Define test requirements and design flexible hardware & software test solutions.
• Provide manufacturing support during hardware build.
• Integrate hardware & software into functioning system.
• Coordinate with QA and mission assurance; support system deployment.
• Oversee software maintenance and hardware refresh initiatives.
