Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks aSenior Ground Systems Engineer in San Diego to lead hardware-software integration for Ground Segment programs. You will coordinate across engineering, procurement, and program teams to ensure timely delivery of compliant systems and documentation, including engineering drawings and system audits.

The role requires DoD Secret (potential Top Secret) clearance, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 25%. A hybrid work arrangement is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in STEM with related engineering experience.
• Experience with software development, integration, and testing; Agile/JIRA/Confluence.
• Experience with aerospace Ground System architecture and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with SDLC and hardware/software integration; DoD/customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hardware supplier efforts for software programs from start to finish.
• Collaborate with subcontracts management, systems engineering, QA, safety, cyber, test, logistics, and scheduler teams.
• Monitor critical dependencies for Ground Segment and integration efforts.
• Plan, develop, test, deploy, and sustain ground segment and software integration activities.
• Review hardware/software documentation and report status to management.
• Travel up to 25% as required and support a hybrid work environment.
